Accessibility

Family Thread is built for the people who hold families together — parents, liaisons, social workers, nurses, advocates. Many of the people we serve rely on assistive technology to read, hear, and navigate the web. We are committed to making this website, and the Family Thread platform, usable by everyone.
We design and build to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. That standard, published by the W3C, is also the benchmark used by the U.S. Department of Education and most state education agencies for digital accessibility in K-12 systems.
Accessibility is ongoing work. We are continually identifying and fixing gaps. If you encounter content that is not accessible to you, please tell us — your feedback is the fastest path to a fix.
We can provide the information on this site in a format that works better for you, including large print, a screen-reader-friendly document, or a phone walkthrough. Just contact us using the details below and tell us what would help.
If something on this site is not working for you with the assistive technology or device you use, please contact us. Include:
We aim to respond within five business days and to fix or give you a workaround as quickly as we can.
